4. FAQ

  1. On a BGA platform, the right channel of ain_record.pcm has no waveform.

Answer: Check whether the hardware PCB routes the reference signal to the ADCR channel.

  2. Echo occurs during talk (the other party hears their own voice).

Answer: Check whether the left and right recording waveforms in ain_record.pcm are too large and clipped. Check the microphone and speaker for damage and the analog circuit for interference. Consider the algorithm and its parameters only after these issues are ruled out.

  3. The ADCR gain is already set to 1 and the Audio Output gain is not high, but the right channel of ain_record.pcm is still very large and clipped.

Answer: Save the audio data sent by the other party over the network as a file and view its waveform on a PC.

  4. The audio heard on the device has problems, such as fluctuating volume or missing prompt characters.

  6. The following test methods are invalid: playing audio from a phone instead of speaking, or placing the device and phone together while one person speaks into both.

  7. Severe feedback occurs during talk debugging.

Answer: Check whether the speaker and microphone are too close. If they are far apart and feedback remains, reduce the microphone gain appropriately.
